Today’s Image of the Day, It’s the Journey that Matters, not the Destination by Luna, transports us to a restful corner space resplendent with luxury. Magnificent magnolia blossoms bloom forth from the wallpaper and enliven the senses; one can almost smell their rich aroma. Painted wood arches compliment the undertone of the wallpaper while dense plants further accentuate as well as frame the space. This is a captivating setting inviting one to luxuriate. It’s no simple space; it’s a state of quiet indulgence.
Thoughtfully curated, this room speaks of eloquence. The posh divan in a rich warm, neutral tone rests atop an ivory and tan geometrically patterned area rug–all colors which evoke warmth and which can be paired with a plethora of other colors. Brass picture lamps nestle above a variety of artwork offset by the brass floor lamp all of which bring to the surface the luster in the magnolia leaves. A speckled beige marble table is settled beside the opulent lounger hosting a colander of plump berries, an opened bottle of ‘Homebrew’ and a book not yet opened all hinting of the occupant’s plans for the evening. Sun glints off a picture of a supercilious looking cat. Every element seems to flow together with ease and intention.
Inherently, this image captures the essence of a life well-lived. A lush oasis within one’s own home. “A book of verses underneath the bough, a jug of wine, [some berries]– and thou…” (from Rubaiyat). Luna’s attention to detail is impeccable.
