We are delighted to introduce the latest member of the LTD DIRECTORY: SPARGEL & SHINE HOMES

Here is your brief introduction of what the brand is all about.

Please tell us a little about your brand?
I started building in Second Life shortly after first “rezzing” in October, 2010. However, the SPARGEL & SHINE HOMES store wasn’t open for business until 2012 with my first significant sale-able build, the Gardener’s Cottage. Since then I’ve strived to improve my techniques and the quality of my homes, furnishings and decor items – most notably by learning to create mesh items in Blender starting in September of 2013.

Where do you get the inspiration for your designs?
I am so inspired first of all by all the wonderful creators, bloggers and photographers in Second Life! Seeing their wonderful creations pushes me to do better, and the best place to see the best SL decor is LTD! I am especially fond of antique and cottage styles, so I look for many inspiring photos for ideas on Pinterest, simple internet searches, and my overactive imagination.

Of all of your releases to date, which is your favorite and why?
To date my favorite build is the Bocas Belle. It really encompasses the style I like the most – cottagy and casual with ornate decorative touches, french doors and pretty windows. I love windows! It was at the point of building this home that I felt I was capable enough in Blender to create attractive and well textured builds – very exciting!

Tell us the story behind your first ever product release. If you have a picture, please provide.
As mentioned, the Gardener’s Cottage was my first sell-able home and it qualified as such because it was made completely out of prims or full-perm sculpted parts instead of pieces of other houses I had purchased. (LOL- embarrassed to say it took me a while to figure out the whole permissions thing) However, what’s really interesting I think is that when asked this question I started digging out old homes I built previous to this one. I found a build that I had forgotten about that has a really cool original look and floor plan built 90% of in-world prims and a few sculpts. I will reserve details as I have decided to recreate it for a near future mesh release! Here is a picture of the original release of the Gardener’s Cottage – only 204 prims!

What can you tell our readers to get them excited for what’s to come from your brand?
I’ve been really enjoying participating in new product events in Second Life. One of my favorites is the Cosmopolitan Bi-Weekly Event for which I have released many of my original mesh home and decor items. Their 5th Anniversary Event is coming up July 31st and I will have an especially sweet little home on display there as well as a pretty gift to go with it. I’m also very excited to have been part of the first release of the Builder’s Box subscription box which includes exclusive and original homes not found anywhere else in Second Life, such as my Lucero Skyhome. I look forward to producing a new build for this event in the near future!

Please tell us where we can find you on Social Media and where our readers can find your store in Second Life.
